CALIBOS (8.10, NAP) can finally get his head in front for the in-form husband and wife team of Daniel and Claire Kubler at Windsor today. The 10-time maiden has got closer to getting off the mark with every start and was only denied late in the contest when beaten a short head at Chepstow last time.

The three-year-old had previously been running over 1m4f but the drop back to 1m2f almost paid off. He took the lead a furlong out from the front-running Hibernate only for his rival to fight back and edge the photo-finish verdict.

Up 1lb for that effort, the Kublers have now switched up the headgear from cheekpieces to blinkers which should help him get the job done this time.

Earlier on the card, Rae Guest, now operating with just a handful of horses after announcing his retirement last year, can secure his third win of the year with the progressive HEAVEN KNOWS (7.05, NB).

The daughter of Showcasing went down by half a length at Nottingham last time when she might have been disadvantaged by racing away from the main field for the first half of the race. Connor Planus, who takes 3lb off, could make the difference.
